Job Description
The Structured Cabling Technician installs, tests, commissions and maintains copper and fibre‑optic cabling systems for enterprise and data‑center environments. Duties include terminating cables, mounting outlets and patch panels, and producing accurate as‑built documentation. The role ensures installations meet industry standards and supports timely fault resolution.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma in Engineering, Telecommunications or related field
- • Minimum 4 years of experience in structured cabling installation
- • Knowledge of relevant standards such as ISO/IEC, TIA/EIA
- • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

Responsibilities
- • Install, terminate and maintain copper and fibre‑optic cabling and associated passive infrastructure
- • Mount outlets, patch panels and related components according to approved layouts
- • Perform testing, commissioning and verification of cabling installations
- • Produce and maintain traceable cable identification, test results and as‑built records
- • Conduct preventive maintenance and timely repairs to minimise connectivity interruptions
- • Ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications
