Job Description
The Supply Chain and Logistics Officer will manage procurement processes, coordinate logistics activities, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Responsibilities include preparing RFQs, evaluating suppliers, tracking orders, and maintaining comprehensive documentation. The role also supports market analysis to achieve best value for money and may involve travel to field locations in Somalia.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • BA/BSc/HND or equivalent professional certificate in logistics, procurement or related field
- • Minimum 3 years hands‑on experience in procurement and logistics
- • Strong analytical, organizational and documentation skills
- • Ability to travel frequently to field locations in Somalia
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Number and record all received requisitions
- • Prepare and issue RFQs, RFPs and RFTs for goods, services and works
- • Review quotations and conduct bid analyses
- • Verify supplier registration and vetting compliance
- • Prepare purchase orders and contracts with clear specifications
- • Track orders from placement through delivery and acceptance
- • Monitor supplier performance and recommend corrective actions
- • Prepare payment requests with complete documentation
- • Maintain a complete procurement documentation trail
- • Assist the Supply Chain Manager with local market analyses
