Job Description
The Sustainability Officer will lead implementation of Kenya Development Corporation’s sustainability and green‑financing strategies, preparing performance reports and ensuring compliance with GRI and IFRS standards. The role supports data collection, KPI monitoring, stakeholder engagement, and research on emerging ESG trends. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for driving the corporation’s environmental objectives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Business, or a related field.
- • 3–4 years of experience in sustainability reporting, ESG, or green finance.
- • Strong analytical and report‑writing skills.
- • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities
- • Lead and coordinate implementation of KDC’s Sustainability and Green Financing strategies.
- • Prepare sustainability performance reports, dashboards, and presentations for management and the Board.
- • Collect, verify, and compile information for sustainability reporting and disclosures, including GRI and IFRS standards.
- • Monitor progress against sustainability KPIs and implementation timelines.
- • Facilitate stakeholder engagements, workshops, and awareness activities with development partners.
- • Maintain documentation and evidence required for audits and assurance of sustainability reports.
- • Conduct research on emerging ESG trends, climate finance, and green financing opportunities.
