Job Description
The Sustainability Officer supports Kenya Development Corporation’s environmental agenda by integrating sustainable practices into projects and operations. The role involves conducting assessments, reporting on sustainability metrics, and promoting green initiatives across the organization. Collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders ensures alignment with national sustainability goals.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Minimum 2–3 years experience in sustainability, environmental management or related field
- • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainable Development or similar
- • Strong analytical and report‑writing abilities
- • Familiarity with Kenyan environmental regulations and standards
- • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills

Responsibilities
- • Conduct environmental and social impact assessments for corporate projects
- • Monitor and report on sustainability performance indicators
- • Develop and implement green policies and best‑practice guidelines
- • Provide training and awareness sessions on sustainability topics
- • Liaise with regulators, NGOs and community groups to ensure compliance
- • Support the integration of sustainability criteria into procurement and investment decisions
