Job Description
The Swahili Language Linguist & Puzzle Designer will create original, complex reasoning puzzles in Swahili that challenge advanced linguistic and logical abilities. Working remotely, the specialist will craft linguistic, cultural, and word‑play puzzles that are resistant to automated solving. The role requires deep knowledge of Swahili grammar, cultural contexts, and problem‑solving techniques, as well as high‑level English proficiency for documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Creative Writing, Translation or a related field
- • Demonstrated ability to craft original content in Swahili
- • Strong analytical and creative thinking skills
- • High proficiency in English for accurate translation and documentation
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Design original linguistic‑reasoning puzzles based on complex Swahili grammar and syntax
- • Develop cultural‑reasoning challenges that incorporate local traditions and contextual knowledge
- • Create word‑play, riddles and double‑meaning puzzles unique to Swahili and not available online
- • Produce clear English translations and rationales for each puzzle
- • Ensure each puzzle resists standard automated solving methods and web‑search solutions
