Job Description
The Technical Advisor I provides expert guidance on cash‑based and market‑based programming for Catholic Relief Services, supporting the design and implementation of humanitarian projects. The advisor contributes to the development of standards, tools and best practices, and works closely with country teams and partners to ensure effective delivery. A bachelor’s degree and several years of relevant experience are required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • BA/BSc/HND in Economics, Development Studies, Business Administration or a related field
- • Five to eight years of experience in cash‑based or market‑based humanitarian programming
- • Demonstrated ability to produce high‑quality technical reports and guidance documents

Responsibilities
- • Support the development and implementation of agency‑wide strategies, standards and tools for cash and market‑based programming
- • Provide technical advice to country program teams and partners on program design and execution
- • Ensure compliance with donor guidelines, CRS quality principles and industry best practices
- • Conduct analytical reviews and produce recommendations to improve program effectiveness
- • Facilitate training, mentoring and capacity‑building activities for staff and partners
- • Contribute to knowledge management by documenting lessons learned and best practices
