Job Description
The Technical Expert will support micro‑enterprise beneficiaries by providing business tutoring, mentoring and technical assistance across all stages of enterprise development. Responsibilities include assessing business readiness, helping participants craft proposals, budgets and cash‑flow forecasts, and guiding market linkages and formalisation. The role also contributes to monitoring designer grants and startup kits, ensuring sustainable growth for ethical fashion ventures. Strong analytical, coaching and stakeholder‑engagement skills are essential.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BSc/HND) in a relevant field
- • Minimum 5 years’ experience in micro‑enterprise development or entrepreneurship
- • Excellent coaching and mentoring abilities
- • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- • Proven ability to build relationships with private‑sector and business stakeholders
- • Strong reporting, documentation and organisational skills
- • Commitment to inclusion, equality and ethical conduct
- • Willingness to travel to project locations
- • Ability to comply with safeguarding and professional‑conduct requirements
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Assess business readiness and enterprise‑development needs of program participants
- • Support participants in developing and refining business proposals, simple business plans, budgets and cash‑flow projections
- • Provide individual and group coaching on commercial proposal development, costing, pricing and financial management
- • Advise on marketing, sales strategies and market linkages to promote business growth
- • Contribute technical input to the implementation and monitoring of designer grants and artisan startup kits
