Job Description
The Technical Planner coordinates engineering and maintenance activities across Nairobi and Mombasa, ensuring preventive and corrective tasks are scheduled and completed. Responsibilities include developing maintenance plans, monitoring work orders, and supporting technical projects. The role requires strong analytical skills and proficiency with CMMS/ERP systems.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline
- • 3–5 years of experience in engineering, maintenance planning or technical coordination
- • Strong understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance processes

Responsibilities
- • Plan and coordinate engineering, maintenance and technical activities across multiple sites
- • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules and work plans
- • Conduct proactive inspections and document findings for timely closure
- • Monitor technician workloads, resource utilisation and task completion
- • Track work orders and engineering projects from initiation to completion
- • Coordinate with procurement and stores to ensure timely availability of spares and tools
- • Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports and technical documentation
- • Support the Technical Manager in planning shutdowns and major projects
- • Generate regular reports on maintenance performance and key indicators
- • Identify opportunities to improve maintenance efficiency and equipment reliability
