Job Description
The Technician will install, calibrate and maintain GPS trackers, fuel sensors and speed limiters on customer vehicles, ensuring compliance with NTSA standards and reliable fleet performance. The role includes troubleshooting hardware issues and providing field support.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience installing GPS trackers, fuel sensors and speed limiters
- • Strong knowledge of 12V/24V automotive electrics, relays and CAN bus systems
- • Diploma or certificate in Electrical, Automotive or Telecommunications Engineering
- • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel for field work
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Install and wire GPS tracking units, fuel monitoring sensors, speed limiters and driver ID hardware on vehicles
- • Calibrate fuel sensors and configure speed governors to meet NTSA regulations
- • Perform troubleshooting of hardware faults and resolve vehicle wiring issues
- • Conduct field support calls and on‑site repairs as needed
- • Verify live GPS signals, relay cut‑offs and sensor accuracy through testing
- • Ensure installations are clean, concealed and meet quality standards
- • Maintain accurate installation records and documentation
