Job Description
The Technologist II will provide technical support for laboratory and research activities at JKUAT. Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, assisting faculty and students with experiments, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The role contributes to the university’s research output through reliable technical assistance.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering, Technology or a related discipline
- • 2–3 years of experience in a laboratory or technical support role
- • Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail
- • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments
- • Assist faculty and students with experimental set‑ups and troubleshooting
- • Prepare reagents, solutions and consumables for research projects
- • Ensure compliance with health, safety and quality standards
- • Document procedures and maintain accurate lab records
- • Provide technical training and support to users as needed
