Job Description
The Theatre Technician will set up, operate and maintain lighting, sound and stage equipment for university productions, ensuring each performance runs smoothly. Duties include equipment checks, troubleshooting technical issues and supporting directors and performers during rehearsals and shows. The role offers practical experience in stagecraft within an academic environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma in Theatre Technology, Stagecraft, Audio‑Visual Production or a related field
- • Basic understanding of lighting, sound, rigging and stage management principles
- • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for performances
- • Strong teamwork and communication skills
