Job Description
The Tutorial Fellow will teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in computing and informatics, develop curriculum materials, and mentor students in programming, data analytics, and emerging technologies at Mount Kenya University.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (PhD registration preferred)
- • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at a higher‑learning institution
- • Strong hands‑on skills in object‑oriented programming, web development, AI, mobile apps, data analytics, and cyber security
- • Registration with relevant professional bodies where applicable
- • Excellent communication and presentation abilities

- • Participate in curriculum development and course review
- • Prepare lecture outlines, teaching materials, and assessment tools
- • Deliver lectures and practical sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate programs
- • Supervise student projects and provide academic mentorship
- • Conduct research and stay updated on emerging ICT trends
- • Contribute to departmental meetings and academic committees
