Job Description
The Urban Finance Consultant will conduct a comprehensive review of capital infrastructure investments, integrate spatial finance data, and produce analytical heat‑maps to identify financing gaps. The role supports the preparation of technical inputs for UN‑Habitat reports and collaborates with municipal departments to ensure accurate geo‑referencing of assets.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Urban Planning or a related discipline
- • Strong analytical and reporting skills
- • Ability to work with large datasets and GIS tools
- • Excellent written communication and presentation abilities
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Review public‑finance registries to compile and classify capital‑infrastructure investments over the past three fiscal years
- • Coordinate with municipal departments to geo‑reference major capital assets and build a spatial finance matrix
- • Model financial heat‑maps to identify priority patterns, delivery mechanisms and financing gaps relative to SDG targets
- • Prepare technical inputs, graphics and narrative text for VLR and SDG discussion papers
- • Incorporate feedback from UN‑Habitat review teams and government counterparts to refine data layers
- • Produce analytical reports and presentations for stakeholders
