Job Description
The Van Driver provides reliable passenger and cargo transport for Amicabre Travel Services, navigating Nairobi’s roads and ensuring timely deliveries. Responsibilities include operating PSV vehicles, maintaining logs, and delivering excellent customer service while adhering to safety regulations. Candidates must hold a valid PSV licence, possess extensive driving experience and demonstrate professionalism. The role requires a KCSE qualification and fluency in English.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • KCSE (Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education) or equivalent
- • Valid PSV licence and driving licences for classes ABCE, D1, D2 and D3
- • Minimum 8 years of continuous, accident‑free driving experience
- • Certificate of Good Conduct and recommendation letters from previous employers
- • Strong knowledge of Nairobi roads, estates and surrounding environs
- • Age between 30 and 45 years
- • Fluency in English and professional appearance
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Operate PSV vans to transport passengers and cargo safely across Nairobi and surrounding areas
- • Escort deliveries using trailers or tractor‑trailer vehicles as required
- • Maintain vehicle logs, perform routine checks and report any defects promptly
- • Ensure compliance with traffic regulations, safety standards and company policies
- • Provide courteous customer service and address passenger inquiries
- • Keep the vehicle clean and presentable at all times
- • Coordinate with dispatch to schedule trips and optimize routes
