Job Description
The Video Editor / Cameraman is responsible for capturing high‑quality footage and producing polished video content for news, campaigns and digital platforms. Duties include operating camera and audio equipment, editing raw material, adding graphics and ensuring final output meets broadcast standards. The role requires strong storytelling skills and proficiency with industry‑standard editing software.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Film, Television Production, Media or related field
- • Minimum 3 years proven experience as a video editor or cameraman, preferably in a newsroom or media agency
- • Strong portfolio demonstrating filming and editing expertise
- • Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve
- • Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Photoshop or Illustrator for motion graphics
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Operate cameras, lighting and audio gear to capture footage for studio, field and event productions
- • Set up and manage multi‑camera shoots, ensuring proper framing, lighting and sound quality
- • Edit raw footage into news packages, interviews, short‑form social media videos and campaign content
- • Add graphics, titles, subtitles, animations and sound effects using motion‑graphics tools
- • Perform colour correction, audio mixing and sound balancing for broadcast‑ready output
- • Export and format videos for broadcast, website and social media specifications
- • Support the creation of simple motion graphics and infographics for visual storytelling
