Job Description
The Welder will operate and monitor welding and gas‑cutting equipment to support fabrication and production processes. Responsibilities include inspecting raw materials and finished products, maintaining tools, adhering to safety protocols, and assisting senior welders on complex tasks. The role also involves keeping a clean workspace and reporting any equipment or safety issues promptly.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma, KCSE or vocational qualification in a relevant trade
- • High school education with a focus on technical subjects
- • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is an advantage

Responsibilities
- • Operate and monitor welding and gas‑cutting machines safely and efficiently
- • Assist in gas cutting, welding, and fabrication tasks as required
- • Inspect raw materials and finished products for quality and accuracy
- • Maintain machinery, tools, and equipment in good working condition
- • Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- • Support senior welders or fabricators in complex tasks
- • Keep the work area clean and organized
- • Report machine malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor
