Job Description
Responsible for leading the security function of the organization, developing and implementing comprehensive security strategies, policies and procedures to protect assets, staff and facilities. The role conducts risk and vulnerability assessments, oversees physical security systems and manages emergency response planning. It also provides direction to the security team, coordinates with internal and external stakeholders, and promotes a culture of security awareness throughout the ministry.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Criminology, Security Management, Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, or a related field
- • Minimum of 5–7 years progressive experience in security management, preferably in a large institution
- • At least 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience managing a security team
- • In‑depth knowledge of physical security systems such as CCTV, access control and alarms
- • Strong understanding of Kenyan security, privacy and safety legislation
- • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and security management software
- • Excellent report writing and documentation abilities
- • Demonstrated commitment to Christian values and the organization’s core principles
