Job Description
The EHS Officer is responsible for conducting regular environmental, health and safety inspections, ensuring compliance with plant procedures, and delivering training on safety and emergency preparedness at Highlands Drinks Limited. The role tracks safety performance, maintains boards and signage, and coordinates emergency response activities to protect staff and assets.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc/HND) in Environmental Health, Safety or a related discipline
Responsibilities
- • Perform monthly EHS inspections and prepare detailed reports with follow‑up actions
- • Conduct routine compliance checks against checklists on a daily/weekly basis
- • Update and maintain the plant’s EHS safety board and ensure proper signage placement
- • Deliver formal EHS training on health, safety, hazardous waste and related topics
- • Inspect emergency equipment weekly to confirm proper functioning
- • Provide emergency response for IDLH incidents and coordinate incident mitigation
- • Assist in organizing trainings on First Aid, fire safety drills and communicable disease prevention
