Job Description
The Management Accountant will oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts, financial reporting and budgeting for the financial services operations in South Sudan. The role ensures accurate reconciliations, regulatory compliance and provides analytical insights to support senior management decisions. Leadership of the finance team and continuous process improvement are key components.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field
- • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA or equivalent
- • Minimum 7 years progressive accounting and finance experience, including 2–3 years in a senior or supervisory role
- • Proven experience in money remittance, foreign exchange, banking, fintech, micro‑finance or cash‑transfer operations
- • Strong expertise in management accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting and financial controls
- • Experience with audits, regulatory reporting and supervising finance staff
- • Valid Kenyan passport and willingness to relocate to Juba, South Sudan

Responsibilities
- • Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and management packs
- • Analyse financial performance against budgets and prior periods and provide recommendations
- • Review bank, cash, mobile money, branch, partner, intercompany and balance‑sheet reconciliations
- • Investigate and resolve outstanding, unusual or unexplained reconciling items
- • Monitor cash positions, cash movements and liquidity requirements
- • Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and profitability reviews
- • Coordinate regulatory, statutory and audit reporting requirements
- • Review and strengthen financial and operational internal controls
- • Supervise, coach and support Finance Officers and Accountants
- • Drive improvements in financial reporting, reconciliation and finance processes
