Job Description
The Enterprise Development Officer promotes SISDO services to small‑scale farmers in Kajiado County, manages credit portfolios and provides agricultural extension advice. The role involves client outreach, loan processing, after‑care services and performance monitoring of the credit portfolio. It is a full‑time position requiring a diploma or degree in agriculture‑related fields.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma or degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Cooperative Management or Business Management
- • Minimum C+ (or equivalent) at O‑Level
- • At least three years experience in micro‑finance and agricultural promotion
- • Age under 30 years and possession of a valid motorcycle licence
- • Strong passion for agricultural development and entrepreneurship
- • Proficient in MS Word and Excel
- • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities
- • Outreach and promote SISDO services to small‑scale farmers and community members
- • Identify client needs and offer appropriate products, developing new offerings as required
- • Recruit, select, and screen potential clients for credit eligibility
- • Provide credit education on products, policies, terms and conditions
- • Record client enquiries and maintain registers for follow‑up
- • Receive loan applications and facilitate appraisal, processing and disbursement
- • Deliver after‑care services, monitor repayments and recover bad debts
- • Track client accounts, manage outstanding payments and take repossession actions when needed
- • Monitor weekly credit portfolio performance and prepare reports
- • Offer agricultural extension advice on value chains, crops and livestock
- • Participate in monthly staff meetings for reporting and feedback
- • Build networks with stakeholders including county government departments
