Job Description
The Instructor will teach hairdressing and beauty therapy courses, delivering practical and theoretical training to students at Makindu Advanced Training College. Responsibilities include curriculum delivery, student assessment, and staying current with industry techniques. Candidates must hold a relevant diploma or certificate and possess teaching or senior salon experience.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma or advanced certificate in Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy or Cosmetology (higher national diploma or NITA certification preferred)
- • Minimum two years of teaching experience or three years as a senior stylist/beautician in a reputable salon or spa
- • Knowledge of NITA/TVETA competency‑based assessment framework
- • Proficiency in modern techniques such as microblading, acrylic nail extensions, dreadlock artistry, and advanced facial therapies
- • Excellent command of English and Kiswahili, both written and spoken
- • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills with a customer‑centric attitude
