Job Description
The Mechatronic Technician will maintain and troubleshoot mechatronic systems within the polytechnic, ensuring equipment operates reliably for teaching and research. The role involves installing, repairing and testing mechanical and electronic components, and providing technical support to staff and students.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma in Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent
- • Minimum 2 years relevant work experience
- • Kenyan citizenship
- • Strong problem‑solving and technical skills
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Install, maintain and repair mechatronic equipment and control systems
- • Diagnose faults in mechanical, electrical and electronic components
- • Perform routine testing, calibration and preventive maintenance
- • Provide technical assistance and training to faculty and students
- • Keep accurate records of service activities and inventory
- • Ensure compliance with safety standards and laboratory procedures
