Job Description
The Area Manager will lead Concern Worldwide’s programmes in Tana River County, overseeing project delivery, staff coordination, and operational functions such as finance, logistics, and security. They will engage with local stakeholders, develop quarterly work plans, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with organisational policies. Strong leadership, analytical, and planning skills are required to manage field teams and drive impact. The position is remote and reports to the Programme Director.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc/HND) or equivalent

Responsibilities
- • Lead Concern’s projects in Tana River County, covering programme delivery and day‑to‑day operations of field staff
- • Coordinate operational functions including human resources, logistics, finance, administration, and staff safety
- • Work closely with the Programme Coordinator and Programme Director to align programmes with policies and procedures
- • Serve as the senior representative at the county level, leading external engagement and stakeholder coordination
- • Contribute to strategic planning, monitor programme performance, and identify opportunities for scale‑up or adaptation
- • Develop quarterly work plans and strengthen programme implementation
- • Provide technical support to ensure quality and timely delivery of programmes
- • Manage field teams, ensuring adherence to standards and deadlines
