Job Description
The Laboratory Technician will perform physical and chemical analysis of upstream oil‑and‑gas drilling waste streams, ensuring data quality and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include sample collection, laboratory testing, and documentation of results for waste treatment projects. The role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in remote, high‑pressure environments.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field
- • Minimum 4 years of laboratory experience in oil‑and‑gas waste analysis
- • High level of attention to detail, integrity and commitment to data quality
- • Ability to work collaboratively with technical, operations, HSE and finance teams
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Conduct physical and chemical characterization of incoming and processed drilling waste
- • Perform laboratory analyses such as TPH, oil & grease, moisture, pH, conductivity, metals and density
- • Follow approved analytical methods, client specifications and regulatory standards
- • Collect, preserve, label and transport representative samples from various waste streams
- • Document test results, maintain accurate records and prepare analytical reports
